Lisker Music Foundation was created and founded in 2001 in Northbrook, Illinois.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn the language of music, and the art of performance.
LMF's aim is to bring together the expertise and resources of music teachers and other professionals, so they may inspire the younger generation of musicians through lessons, concerts, and competitions.

Through our programs, projects, and events, LMF will provide assistance to enlarge the love of playing, learning, and listening to music of all types. We believe this mentoring helps further enhance their talents, while strengthening the music community as well.

Rising Stars Concert Series
Lisker Music Foundation is presenting two very exciting concerts in Chicago featuring eight of the most brilliant musicians of their generation. These phenomenal performers, who collectively represent five different countries, have each earned international acclaim. Among them will be Israeli violinist, Itamar Zorman, who has won the top prize at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition and will be making his Chicago debut. These two performances, which will be held on April 26th and 29th, will undoubtedly be unforgettable and inspiring to anyone in attendance. We would like to invite you to be part of this celebration of music and its capacity to bring such diverse cultures and nationalities together. These concerts will include such radiant works as "Souvenir de Florence" by Tchaikovsky, the Piano Quintet in F minor by Brahms, and much more.
